Stock moves while the count is running
Sales and shipments continue during the count, so it becomes unclear which balance was counted against. The variance turns into an argument.

Mind Stock · Inventory Management
Stop treating stock accuracy as something that waits for month end; let a variance appear the day it happens, with its reason.
Mind Stock is the module that runs stock counts, inbound and outbound movements, expiry tracking and variance analysis across grocery branches and the warehouse without waiting for the month-end close; the variance is calculated in one place and whoever runs the report sees the same number.
Sales and shipments continue during the count, so it becomes unclear which balance was counted against. The variance turns into an argument.
Goods receipts, shipments, returns and sales are not read daily; stock is only confirmed at the count, and loss that forms in between stays invisible until month-end.
The count variance shows up as a total. Which movement, which date or which team it came from cannot be traced.
Most loss is not theft: the share that comes from suppliers, staff and administrative error closes with counting, reason codes and movement records.

Count variance and shrinkage are separate lines; how much of each is visible at a glance.
Movement, count and expiry flow through one model, so a variance is reported the day it occurs.
Mobile counting works offline; once synced, the result lands in cost and margin at the same time.
The stock balance is frozen the moment the count opens. Movements during the count are held in a separate queue and applied at close.
The Capacitor-based app queues on the device when there is no connection and sends in order once it returns. The same barcode is never processed twice.
Variance opens up by product, location, counting team and date. Value variance and unit variance are reported separately.
Count variances and shrinkage records are posted to the relevant account as journal entries, so the financial statements and the stock report do not drift apart.
Inventory turnover, ageing buckets and GMROI are calculated. Non-moving stock is flagged against a day threshold.
Shrinkage is entered with a reason code; the shrinkage rate by category and store raises an alert when it crosses a threshold.
Loss is reported the day it happens with its reason, not at month end.
Receipts, issues and count movements are compared daily; waste is separated by reason code and raises an alert when it crosses a threshold.
Variance, reason code and amount by category and store.
Which product is sitting in which store reads off the ageing table.
Shrinkage gets a reason code, count variance is kept apart, and thresholds raise alerts.
For how many branches and users?
The figure is a starting point for a conversation, not a final price. Scope is settled in that conversation; prices exclude VAT.
Yes. When the connection drops, the mobile field app holds scans on the device and transfers them to the central data model once it is back. Counting does not stop in parts of the warehouse with no signal.
The variance is calculated by comparing the frozen balance with the count result, and a journal entry export file is produced through the chart of accounts mapping table. Before the export, the variance list can be reviewed by product and location.
The ageing report shows, for each product, when it last moved and how much capital the remaining quantity is tying up. The dead stock threshold is defined per business and the same threshold is used in every report.
